The Impossible Dream that Becomes Possible

     Long time ago, one of my dream is owning a car. For me that was very impossible because car is very expensive. I couldn't even afford to buy a bicycle for myself how much more for a car. I have a decent job before I came here in the United States but I preferred to help my immediate family rather than my own. But since my salary as an officer-in-charge in a Pawnshop is not that much, I have a hard time saving money in order to buy the things that I really want. I envy a friend of mine who owns a Ford Explorer because only few people in our country owns a car most especially someone at a very young age. She said her parents gave it to her when she graduated in college as a gift. It was not new but it is still in good condition especially after her parents changed the broken head gasket. 

     This conversation is still fresh in my mind especially that the impossible dream that I thought before will become possible when I came here in the US and got married. I was happy knowing that we have our own car to be used wherever we want to go. But I never thought that owning a car comes also with a tremendous responsibilities. You have to have a car insurance and also you should be ready for a regular maintenance which may still cost you a lot of money.
