The Impossible Dream that Becomes Possible

Long time ago, one of my dream is owning a car. For me that was very impossible because car is very expensive. I couldn't even afford to buy a bicycle for myself how much more for a car. I have a decent job before I came here in the United States but I preferred to help my immediate family rather than my own. But since my salary as an officer-in-charge in a Pawnshop is not that much, I have a hard time saving money in order to buy the things that I really want. I envy a friend of mine who owns a Ford Explorer because only few people in our country owns a car most especially someone at a very young age. She said her parents gave it to her when she graduated in college as a gift. It was not new but it is still in good condition especially after her parents changed the broken head gasket

This conversation is still fresh in my mind especially that the impossible dream that I thought before will become possible when I came here in the US and got married. I was happy knowing that we have our own car to be used wherever we want to go. But I never thought that owning a car comes also with a tremendous responsibilities. You have to have a car insurance and also you should be ready for a regular maintenance which may still cost you a lot of money. Even though we live here in Los Angeles and there are many auto repair shops, we don't go to the same shop every time our car needed some fixing because we are not satisfied with their services. But with the help of RepairPal.com it will be much easier for us to find a reliable Los Angeles auto repair because they have the list of repair shops that are rated by their customers. So the next time we have to bring our car to an auto repair shop, we will visit RepairPal and find a car shop near where we live.

409 All-Purpose Cleaner

When I am cleaning our house especially our kitchen, I always use a multi-purpose cleaner. When me and my husband went to the grocery store almost a year ago, I told him that I needed a multi-purpose cleaner because I just run out of it when I cleaned our kitchen that morning. When we got to the aisle where all the cleaning supplies located, I was amazed of how many choices are available. I was having a hard time choosing which one I want to buy. So, I asked my husband's opinion to which multi-purpose cleaner I should purchase because I don't want to buy the same cleaner I was using previously. He told me that he used 409 Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner before and he likes it. So, I gave it a try and I am happy with it. I used it mostly in cleaning our kitchen counter top and the top of our stove. The 409 is really good in cleaning grease most especially that I like frying. This is one of my many household helpers.

How to Prepare The Back To School Shopping List

Post contributed by Valerie Vargas

Shopping for back to school supplies comes down to two main tasks which are making the list, and then bringing it all home. This post is about my various lists.

I begin by taking inventory of what the kids already have and I decide if any of it is salvageable. Thanks to sleep overs, and a few trips this summer, most of our supplies were either lost, or damaged.

I take the lists provided by three different teachers and try to imagine my childs day and write down anything extra they might need. Then I create one master list and organize it into categories. I have one list for school supplies, one list for clothes and shoes, and another list for lunch.

I check the advertisements for sales. I do this to pacify my thrifty side, but I usually end up at Target and Wal-Mart because they have practically all the items we need.

Finally, I make a list called “out the door.” Last year I made it to the gas station before noticing I had left my wallet at home. Things I put on this list are purse with payment options, keys, master list, set the adt online security system, and check kids appearance.

Armed with my lists, I am ready to take the kids shopping for back to school supplies.

BedBathstore Has Great Deals in Your Bath and Bedroom Needs

A lot of people including us couple love to do something in our house that makes it more attractive to our guests and of course to ourselves. It is good and comforting to live in a house that is well taking cared of inside and out. One thing we're doing during every summer are repainting our deck and the railings around it, the stairway that is going to our rooftop and replacing old things that needed to be replaced in our house.

I've been wanting to buy a shower curtain liners for our bathroom for quite some time now. I am tired of cleaning our bathroom glass door as well as the grout that attaches the glass door frame and the bathtub. If I can't clean it at least twice a month, mildew will start to grow and it will be hard for me to clean it. Fortunately, I found this perfect liner for our bathroom  at bedbathstore.com. The super clear liner is perfect for our bathroom most especially that the liner is treated to resist mildew and bacteria, it is waterproof, 100% vinyl, its size is 72" wide x 78" long and most importantly it is very affordable.

Another thing I want to buy at bedbathstore is an indoor and outdoor patio rugs. We wanted to have a rug that will protect a part of our deck that is been exposed most of the time to the sun. I found this Sunbrella Renaissance Hardwood Stripe Indoor/outdoor rug and the color stay strong and vibrant even through intense exposure to the sun and even cleaning with bleach, stain resistance and fading, the fabric is soft yet durable, reversible and made from 50% recycled content and it comes in different colors which I can definitely have choices which perfectly fit for our deck.

On the other hand, few days ago a friend of ours gave us a rocking chair. I immediately told my husband to   put it in our bedroom next to the french door. I like this rocking chair. It reminds me when I was a kid when my grandma had it and I used it every time when I visited her in her house. This chair has already a cushion but only the pad. I definitely would like it better if hubby will buy me this Jamaica Corduroy Micro Fiber Non Skid Rocking Chair Cushion Set in khaki color. This deluxe rocker set measures 18"W x 18"D x 3" thick and the back cushion measures 18"W x 28"H x 3" thick which is absolutely perfect for the rocker chair we have. Since we have two corduroy chair pads in our kitchen chair that looks exactly the same as this Jamaica Corduroy Rocker Chair cushion sets, I know how soft the one that I want to buy for our newly acquired rocking chair, courtesy of our couple friends.
