My Favorite Infomercial

 Author: Elias Massey

Everyone says that they hate infomercials, but if that was the case we wouldn't watch them, now would we? My all time favorite infomercial is the one for the Juiceman Juicer. There is something about the fact that this elderly man endorsing this product is in way better shape than I probably will ever be is very fascinating to me. I know I spend a lot of time in front of my tv satellite while he is out there running laps, and he probably eats better than I do, but look at this guy! I admit it, I bought one, I love it. The only thing is eating healthy is really expensive, especially with juicing. Fresh produce is very high in price and when you think about how much of it it takes to make 3 tall glasses of juice everyday, well that is just out of my price range right now. The idea is great and all the ideas he showcases on his infomercial are really healthy and often very delicious. The antioxidant power you get from many of these juices is enough to keep you as young as this guy on the infomercials. I admit, even after buying the product I find myself still watching the infomercial trying to motivate myself to juice more frequently. I guess it's time to start a garden.

Pillow Pet, Buzzy Bumble Bee

MellowYellowBadge

I haven't participated in Mellow Yellow Monday for quite sometime. My entry for today is the Buzzy Bumble Bee Pillow Pet. I bought this pillow pet more than a week ago to give as a gift for my niece, Aimee. I think it is a nice gift because this toy  combine the functionality of a pillow with the security of a stuffed animal. This pillow pet is so cute and cuddly. Aimee can use it during her naptime, road trips and more!

Growing Greener

This post is written by Fermin Washington

Ok, so even though I can just feel the energy seeping out of my TV while watching Planet Green on satellite tv Billings, I am sure that I am offsetting my carbon footprint through all the things I learn on Planet Green. See, I even learned how to make up for my TV watching addiction.

If you are a foody, than you do not want to miss Emeril Green or Future Food. Emeril takes a lucky shopper around Whole Foods and solves their food dilemmas, teaching them to cook in a green an eco-friendly way using local foods that are healthy. The crazy guys on future foods are exploring different cooking technologies and foods to make the restaurant industry a little more eco-friendly. My favorite was the menu made from edible packing peanuts, unbelievable.

The Animal Planet and National Geographic lovers can get their fix from any one of their shows about the different animals and ecosystems.

Probably my favorite Planet Green show would have to be "Wasted," where hosts Anabel and Holter come into someone's house, evaluate their carbon footprint and then tell them ways they can lessen it. They leave them for several weeks and return to see how they have done with the improvements. They then give the family the amount of cash that they will be saving in one year by living in their new, eco-friendly way.
