Kitchen Countertop and Backsplash

I never thought it will take this long just to replace our kitchen countertop from the old-fashioned white tiles to Silestone. My husband had been doing a lot of research and we went to various stores to shop for better quality materials yet very affordable prices. We already picked the color of the Silestone (African Red) as well as the materials we are going to use for the backsplash. The problem is, the one who will do the job.

Although my husband is not working as much as he did, he is still very persistent to continue in remodeling our kitchen countertop and backsplash. We have trouble in looking for a reliable contractor. There were at least five contractors came to our house to give us a free estimate and most of them were given us a hard time in giving their estimates. Finally, we decided which contractor to use and he is the one recommended by the store where we are going to buy the Silestone.

Finally, our kitchen countertop is done. It's really look so nice. On monday the contractor will come back again to finish the backsplash. We don't have plumbing since yesterday and probably up to thursday of next week. We are also have to repaint our kitchen with a different color that will match with our new kitchen countertop and backsplash. It was not that long ago when we repainted our kitchen and now we have to repaint it again. Hoping everything will turn out well.

Shopping finds for my business travels

Guest post written by Henrietta Lawson

I recently got promoted to a new job and that means that I'm going to start going on a whole lot more business trips. Before my promotion I would go on one, maybe two business trips a year, tops. So I'm not that used to them. But I know that I need to streamline how I pack to get used to this new work lifestyle.

I went online to see about getting some luggage that was made in this century because my old stuff is just downright embarrassing to carry around. When I was shopping for that stuff, I came across the site SatelliteInternetBroadband.com and after I looked through it a little bit I decided to sign up for internet service through it.

I found this luggage set that includes a briefcase that slides right onto the pull-out handles on my rolling suitcase, which I think will make getting around in airports a whole lot easier. I'm also interested in seeing some sites on some of these business trips too, even if it is just from a company car.
